He especially loved his dogs Lady and Misty. Daniel is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan McNamara-Stone. He is survived by his wife Helen of Fresno; his daughters, Shirley McNa- mara of Fresno, and Barbara McNamara of Clo- vis; brother, Jerome B. | 4829 | Services will be held at 10 a.m. today for Linus L. Vieira, a 42-year veteran with Pacific Telephone Co. Mr. Vieira, who died here Wednesday, was 73. A native of Hayward, he lived in Oakland for 25 years and moved to Auburn last year. Mr. Vieira began his telephone career in 1919 as a work-order clerk in the Sacramento accounting department. He later worked in the San Francisco office and the Eastbay Division. In 1958, he became district manager for East Oakland, Alameda and San Leandro and remained in that post until he retired in 1961. Mr. Vieira was a former director of the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce, Alameda County chairman for the 1962 Cerebral Palsy Crusade, a member of the advisory board of Oakland's Salvation Army and a volunteer in United Crusade campaigns. He was a member of the George Ladd Chapter of Telephone Pioneers of America; Eureka Lodge 16, AM of Auburn; White Shrine Chapter 67 of Auburn; Crystal Chapter 57, OES of Auburn; Sacramento Consistory of Scottish Rite.
